He has sought extensive training at the hands of renowned International experts from Canada (the first person to describe the use of this type of injection for cosmetic reasons), the United States of America and England.

He is a Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, the British Association of Cosmetic Doctors and the Registration Council of Medical Experts.

TREATMENT OF FROWN LINES, FOREHEAD WRINKLES AND CROWS’ FEET – THE AGEING FACE

Looking in the mirror and seeing our face age in front of our eyes can be very distressing, as can comments from others that you always look tired, stressed or angry. Laughter lines can be an attractive feature, but they can also cause considerable personal distress. There are now available acceptable and internationally-tested treatments for such lines and wrinkles which are becoming increasingly popular and sought after in the United Kingdom-

Many of these lines are the result of strong muscle action in the face sustained over many years, gradually creasing the skin. This becomes more evident with age. Simple cosmetic injections to relax these muscles can create a much fresher face, leaving it much less lined. People look fresher and feel fresher as result.

The most effective lines to treat are the frown lines between the eyebrows, wrinkles across the forehead and the lines and wrinkles around the eyes, known as 'crows' feet'. Other areas of the face, such as lips and neck can also be selected for treatment.
These muscle-relaxing injections contain a drug which currently cannot be advertised in this way for legal reasons, although it has been tried and tested in other areas of medicine for many years and safely used in the cosmetic field for several years too. What they cannot do is completely freeze the face, as some people fear, nor precipitate excessive wrinkling when the drug wears off, as it inevitably does over the course of a few months.

These injections, of course, if placed in the wrong sites, can lead to undesired effects and it is imperative, therefore, that the procedure is carried out by experienced Medical Practitioners. The treatment is simple and non-surgical, taking a few minutes only. It requires the placing of a few key injections into the requisite facial muscles with a tiny needle, the majority of people are surprised how painless and tolerable the procedure is.

No doubt the results are dramatic and apparent within days. The vast majority of people are not only delighted with the results, but return for future treatments

Because the treatment is fast, simple and minimally invasive, people are able to return to work or continue their normal activity following treatment. The results subtle and natural, rather than obvious or dramatic.

Most people are concerned about possible side-effects or problems but, if the treatment is done in experienced hands, this is rarely the case. There are some minor side-effects reported and these will be discussed with you should you wish to consider a treatment.

Unlike surgery, the treatment is not permanent. The Initial results last between 3 and 6 months, becoming longer with sustained treatment. Recent studies suggest that the skins own collagen tends to re-form whilst the muscles are relaxed.

Excessive SWEATING (AXILLARY HYPERHEDROSIS)

Some people are troubled by excessive sweating in the armpits, which tends to leave their clothes drenched with even minimal exertion. Not only can this be uncomfortable, it can also be embarrassing. The same muscle relaxing injections discussed above be used in the armpits (axillae) to suppress tie activity of the sweat glands, creating dryness of the armpits, which lasts for between 6 and 12 months with each treatment. Again, the procedure is simple, quick and minimally invasive The sweat glands are identified by dabbing the skin first with starch powder then Iodine and they are then targeted with he tiny injections.

TREATMENT OF MIGRAINE

This same drug is now under evaluation for its use in the treatment of migrainous headaches most people reporting a significant reduction in the frequency and severity of the headaches they receive after treatment.
